The stage is set for Super Bowl 59 in New Orleans.
The Kansas City Chiefs (15-2) will look to do something no other team has done: win three straight Super Bowls. But the Philadelphia Eagles (14-3) hope to avenge its Super Bowl 57 loss to Kansas City.
As the Super Bowl approaches, our NFL experts predict which team will come out on top at the Caesars Superdome.
Super Bowl 2025 expert predictions
Nat Newell, sports editor: Eagles 15, Chiefs 13
Expert Super Bowl picks: Unique betting insights only at USA TODAY.
The Chiefs’ offense has been less than what we’ve expected all season and it finally catches up to them. They will face a dominant defensive front in the Eagles and have issues moving the ball all night. Philadelphia isn’t exactly an offensive juggernaut with Jalen Hurts at quarterback but Saquon Barkley will score once, set up a tush push and pick up a 2-point conversion. The Chiefs will score in the final seconds and have their two-point conversion stopped.
Gregg Doyel, columnist: Eagles 50, Chiefs 0
I can’t believe the Chiefs think it’s OK to have Rashee Rice and Kareem Hunt not only on the same roster, but in the same offense. I realize Rice is hurt, and I realize this isn’t exactly expert analysis, but I’m tired of the Chiefs allowing such awful people to help them win. I’ve got the Eagles by 50.
Doyel:Cheer against KC in Super Bowl for right reason. No, not because of Taylor Swift
Joel A. Erickson, Colts insider: Chiefs 24, Eagles 21
Patrick Mahomes has historically had a lot of success against Vic Fangio’s defenses, neutralizing one of Philadelphia’s best weapons, and a Kansas City defense that ranked in the top 10 in rushing defense under Steve Spagnuolo this season seems well-suited to make life difficult enough on Saquon Barkley that the Eagles will need Jalen Hurts to make big plays.
